This song depicts the last major scenes of Jesus Christ’s mortal mission. The lyrics are narrative, including events and descriptions from the scriptures.
My intention is not for people to dwell on the sad and traumatic parts of these events. Rather, it is to invoke a realization, empathy, and appreciation of what was done for us. Each of the scenes ends positively, with the end of the song being the most dramatic good news.

The audio recording (vocals by Matthew Curtis, piano by Fen Frehner) is playable with the YouTube semi-animated sheet music video above; and is available for purchase at www.choraltracks.com, along with excellent rehearsal tracks (predominant, left-panned, and muted). An MP3 recording I made is also available for free download below. It contains the piano accompaniment plus synthesized voice “oohs” for the singing parts. The synthesized voice sound is not nearly as nice as real voices, but is an okay demo of how the song is supposed to sound.
